Jaime Douglas – Founder/Owner of Montierre – was born in Huntington, WV and raised in South Point, Ohio. Excelling on the South Point High baseball team led to a collegiate baseball career with the UCF Knights and eventually professional baseball with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim organization.
During the next 6 years, Douglas traveled all over North America playing professional baseball. In the offseason, he would work on construction projects to build the foundation for life after baseball. When he eventually hung up his baseball cleats, he was well versed in construction management and ready to hit the ground running.
Douglas’ time as a field crew associate in his offseasons gave him hands-on experience and unique insights on a multitude of construction trades, including HVAC installation, electrical work, flooring, and multiple concrete scopes.
His hard work ethic and diverse skillset led him to quickly move up the ranks, from field associate to eventually becoming Superintendent for a general contractor in Orlando. During this time Jaime worked on projects ranging from ground-up physician offices, several government buildings to the largest Seventh Day Adventist Church in the country (64,000 sq. ft.), and a large retail department store (180,000 sq. ft.).
Jaime was then blessed with the time and opportunity to receive his Certified Building Contractor’s license and decided to venture out on his own. Through this process he has teamed up with some of the most successful individuals in the construction industry, creating several companies that lie under the Montierre umbrella.
